Undercover Currents in Linjiang

On a rainy night, the river reeks of blood. A corpse washes ashore, and a thirty-five-year-old debt of blood buried beneath the river is finally due to come to light!

An unidentified man's body turns up on the Linjiang riverbank, his right hand hacked off. The only thing in his pocket is the address of a detective agency: Lu Chen, a former head of the serious crimes unit, was dismissed three years ago over an unsolved case. Now he runs a detective agency in an old alley, investigating dead cases the police dare not touch and powerful people have buried deep.

One commission draws him into the mystery of a wealthy family's missing heiress: Sheng family's young lady Su Wanqing has vanished without a trace, and a deserted villa on the outskirts of town conceals the same black palm print found thirty years ago! It marked the dam collapse at the Linjiang Reservoir, where migrant workers were buried alive. It appeared again in the massacre at the Jingyuan estate ten years ago. And it is bloody evidence of a detective who was thrown into the river three years ago!
