[Transmigration] [Personal Growth] [Lighthearted and Funny] [Historical] [Male/Male Romance] [Exile and Farming] [Hardcore Foraging by the Sea] [Lucky Charm] [Infrastructure Expert]
A top wilderness survival content creator is suddenly transported to another world and becomes the illegitimate son of a disgraced official, whose family has been confiscated and exiled to Lingnan. He also finds himself bound to a disgraced crown prince: disfigured, crippled, and gloomy.
The journey into exile is hard, but not quite a matter of life and death. The court confiscated their property, but at least gave them provisions for the road. Then they reach Lingnan and see what they’ve been given: a plot of salty, alkaline wasteland, a leaky thatched hut, and not a decent market anywhere nearby.
His family is so hungry their eyes are glazing over. One by one, they ask him, “Young Master, what are we eating tonight?”
Luckily, he has hardcore survival skills, plus just a little bit of lucky-charm fortune!
He chops bamboo to make fish traps, digs for clams along the shore, and makes a fishing spear from a branch. While everyone else in Lingnan is chewing tree bark, he’s picking blue crabs out of tidal pools. While the others grow gaunt and sallow, he somehow manages to put together a whole seafood barbecue feast.
He boils seawater for salt, clears land, builds a chicken coop, and makes a small fishing boat. Day by day, life improves. The thatched hut becomes a little courtyard, and green shoots even begin to grow in the salty wasteland.
As he turns this barren corner of Lingnan into a thriving settlement, his enemies in the capital, who had been waiting to see him fail, start getting restless.
Then one day, the disgraced crown prince who’s been mooching off his meals blocks him at the kitchen door and presses a freshly grilled fish into his hand. “Finish this, and I’ll tell you something.”
Only later does he discover that the crippled prince has even more tricks up his sleeve than he does.
