Journey to the West: I'm Just a Demon Cultivator, Yet I Become a Disciple of the Demon-Slaying Heavenly Venerable

After transmigrating into Journey to the West, he becomes the younger brother of the Tiger Vanguard of Yellow Wind Ridge. Thinking of how his elder brother will one day be beaten to death by the monkey, while he himself will be skinned and turned into a tiger-skin skirt, Hu Er flees in the dead of night.

As a member of the demon race, he decides to try his luck at Wudang Mountain if he wants to stay alive.

Who would have thought he would be bound to the Demon-Slaying System? Slay sinful demons, and earn merit!

And so, a fierce tiger appears at the foot of Wudang Mountain, upholding justice day after day.

Until one day, the Nine Heavens Demon-Slaying Patriarch descends. “You’re a demon, yet you dare cultivate my true Demon-Slaying Art?”

Hu Er: “May the Patriarch see the truth. Though I have a demon’s body, my heart is set on eradicating every demon under heaven!”

The Patriarch strokes his beard and laughs heartily. “Good! All the gods and Buddhas in heaven are hypocrites. You, little demon, are the only one with a sincere heart! From today on, you are my personal disciple!”

Years later, when Sun Wukong reaches Yellow Wind Ridge, he sees Hu Er guarding the mountain with an imperial decree from the Great Emperor Zhenwu and an army of a hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals. He is left deep in thought…

Slay demons as a demon, and accumulate merit.

Starting by escaping the fate of being skinned and made into a skirt, he slays demons and banishes evil all the way from a lowly demon to the Heavenly Court’s “Demon-Slaying Star Lord.” In the end, he defies fate itself, turning the eighty-one tribulations arranged by Mount Lingshan into stages for farming merit.
