Empresses in the Palace: The Six Palaces Go Mad and Give Up

(A new book is starting! If you’re passing by, come take a look~) One day, a System descends, and everyone in the Forbidden City awakens to a new outlook. The Empress tosses aside her account books and shuts herself away with pastries, no longer willing to manage the Six Palaces and all their petty affairs. Consort Hua smashes her precious incense burner and cuts off her romantic entanglements, proudly keeping to her own palace. An Lingrong sheds her shell of insecurity and tears into people with her sharp tongue, refusing to be pushed around. Zhen Huan sees through the Emperor’s fickle heart and devotes herself to taking it easy, carefree and unbothered by conflict. Everyone breaks free of the palace’s shackles, abandoning rivalry, jealousy, power plays, and emotional entanglements. They do whatever they want and let loose without restraint. The Emperor is left alone in the Hall of Mental Cultivation, ignored by everyone, while the consorts of the Six Palaces each find their own amusements and lie flat. No heartbreak, no frustration. Everyone lets go and lives as they please, turning the stifling palace into a carefree haven.
