In the last years of the Daqian Dynasty, there were constant natural disasters (severe droughts and locust plagues), refugees were everywhere, the court was corrupt, and foreign races were eyeing the borders.
The protagonist traveled through time and became a down-and-out farmer who was discharged from the army due to injury, was ostracized by his clan, and was assigned to a "deserted mountain".
