[No romance, ensemble cast]
Can you believe it? Qingyao Sect has a huge problem!
Mo Zhechun looks like a cold beauty, but behind closed doors, she's a ridiculous all-rounder who chats with spirit plants, gives her pill furnace nicknames, and grumbles that her master's meditation pose makes him look like a wooden post.
She was planning to coast through life in the sect, but then a joint training trip with the five great immortal sects dumped a whole crew of oddballs into her lap:
Wen Renyu: Mingyan Sect's famously stone-faced sword cultivator. His tongue is so vicious he could freeze someone solid in their coffin, yet he can't resist Mo Zhechun's complaints. After insulting her, he stubbornly adds, "I'm not helping you. You're just too noisy."
Beimen Jue: A wolf demon from Wangchen Valley, with saber skills fierce enough to split a mountain. His brain, however, often goes walkabout. He takes Mo Zhechun's grumbling as praise and keeps coming over to ask, "Sis Mo, does my saber swing look cool?"
Qi Shixu: A sickly beauty and a master of arrays and talismans from Yanqiu Pavilion. Two coughs from him are enough to make everyone worry, but his tongue is sharper than anyone's. Delivering a gentle verbal jab is his specialty: "Junior Sister Mo, the array you set up is so ugly even evil spirits find it off-putting."
Yu Qinghe: A little ray of sunshine from Lingchuan Immortal Manor, with more mischievous ideas than spirit herbs. She drags everyone into all kinds of shameless mischief, from sneaking off to pick spirit fruit and drawing ghost faces with talisman paper to braiding Beimen Jue's hair.
