Beneath the Black Scales Lies a Dragon God

In the ancient Cretaceous, dinosaurs ruled the land. Ordinary dinosaurs knew only hunting, migration, reproduction, and fighting. They had no idea that ancient dragon gods known as Ancestor Spirits slept within the moon, volcanoes, deep seas, giant trees, and meteorites.

When the protagonist Ye Lin was born, his eyes were covered by a black film of scales, and his tribe regarded him as an ill omen. He could not see the ordinary world, but he could sense the wind, vibrations, scents, the flow of blood, and the whispers of the Ancestor Spirits. When contamination from celestial fires descended, Ye Lin gradually grew from a misunderstood hatchling into a new Dragon God who protects all tribes and defies the fate of annihilation.
