Chen Mo is a hard-working social worker who sweeps garbage (souls) in the age of the end of the Dharma. His greatest ideal in life is to get off work on time. Until one day, he accidentally inherited the ancestral "Hell Nuo Noodles" and was forced to work as a bare-bones judge - with only a Qing Dynasty scholar ghost (Su Luoshu) who loves to drop his book bags, a fate-weaver girl (A Zhi) who reads spoilers but is always unsure, and a war spirit cub (Chiya) who looks fierce but is actually a snack.
His KPI is: to rebuild the order of reincarnation on the ruins where the gods have collectively absented themselves from work and hell has been suspended for three thousand years. And his competitor is the crazy organization "Guixu" who believes that "you can become a god by killing all your colleagues."
Thus, Chen Mo began his hell-level career: during the day, he pretended to be a cleaner in the cyber city and judged fish-catching demons; at night, he led his unreliable team to sneak into the ruins of hell to pick up garbage (looking for fragments of the judge's pen), and played hide-and-seek with the headhunters from "Return to the Ruins".
When others practice immortality, he practices "judgment", and when others fight, he holds court. This is a story about a young man who doesn't want to work overtime and is forced to lead a group of weird teammates to redefine "996" and "KPI" in a collapsing world, and try to find a "home" for the dead (and dead ghosts)… a not-so-serious story about a judge's promotion.
