During the Republic of China era, a crack appears in an ancient mirror deep inside the Lin warlord estate.
Lin Yuan, Lin Fen, Bai Ling... They think they have stumbled in by accident, until they discover that these instances are not games, but tombs. Each one traps a ghost, and every story conceals an injustice no one has ever known about. Clear ranks range from A to SSS, but SSS is no reward. It means personally filling in the missing piece for them, then watching them vanish before your eyes.
The instances never stop. You think you’ve saved one person, but there’s another level waiting.
**Season Two: The Yunhuang Arc**
Five battered young people are thrown into the continent of Yunhuang. A female general waits in vain for reinforcements on the Withered Bones Terrace. A scholar is burned alive in the Pavilion of Forbidden Books. A priestess whose name was erased lies at the bottom of Moonken Lake. A musician with all ten fingers severed stands on the Broken String Terrace. A general kneels until his knees are raw on the Boneflower Plains, yet still no memorial arrives... Every Boss’s story is a regretful tale of how things “could have been different.”
An orange-yellow livestream System floats beside them, chatty and fond of making snarky comments, though sometimes quiet. It is the only thing in the instances with any warmth, and also the only thing powerless to help. It can see every injury, but all it can do is stay with them through the comments.
Meanwhile, outside the instances, Lin Ran can provide assistance for three minutes per call, and every word may be the last.
