In the autumn of the 14th year of the Republic of China, the wind in Qingxi Town in the south of the Yangtze River was already chilly. The town is not big, but it is famous for three things within a hundred miles: first, the century-old walnut forest in the north of the town, second, the "Qingxi Boxing" passed down by the Gu family, and third, the knife-cut noodles from the Renfeng noodle stall at the street corner. Strange or not, these three things happened to get mixed up in one place, and they became a story that has been told in this town for hundreds of years.
The wind started blowing, and the old trees in the walnut orchard were swaying their branches, as if they were telling old stories. But the people in the town continued to live their lives as usual, and no one knew that this autumn was destined to be unstable. The faces hidden behind the masks, the secrets buried by the years, and the two hearts pushed together because of family grudges are waiting to be revealed one by one.
