The story is not long but thought-provoking. The early structure has the shadow of "The Count of Monte Cristo", and the ending is in line with the mainstream social values. It is a rare good article. However, there are flaws in everything. The following is purely my personal opinion and is for reference only:
1. It is really unexpected for the protagonist to surface in the later stage. If he can continue to hide in the darkness, control the fate of all parties, and finally float away, it should increase the suspense of the story.
2. The personality description of the protagonist after escaping from prison is not deep enough. Calmness and rationality are the biggest advantages. However, if irrational characteristics such as violence and fear (the stress response of being abused in prison) are appropriately added, many conflict points can be added in the revenge process.
3. The ending of the ex-girlfriend lacks drama. If the pain of the protagonist is increased through tragic arrangements, it should be more able to highlight the emptiness of the protagonist after revenge.
