Great Tang: Qin Qiong Pressures His Son to Marry a Cheng Family Daughter

A sharp crack rings out from the Duke of Hu's mansion, but none of the passersby dares to look too closely. Qin Qiong plants one foot on his son and grips a riding crop. “Are you going to agree or not?” Qin Huanyu glares up from the ground. “You can beat me to death, but I won't marry that Cheng girl!” Qin Qiong hands a thorny stick to the old servant. “Just make sure he stays alive.” Everyone in the household knows their master is in failing health and is desperate to find his son a powerful ally. Cheng Yaojin is famously hard to kill.
