The Little Immortal Painter of Mountains and Seas

Before her grandfather died, he pressed a yellowed copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas into Lin Qing’s hands. “This is the greatest secret of my life.”

She opened the book and drew a mountain. When she woke, a jade pendant engraved with an eye had appeared on her wrist.

She had really traveled to another world: Kunlun Realm. There, upside-down peaks were crumbling, and spiritual ley lines were cracking like dried-up riverbeds. A divine beast named Yingzhao crouched before her, its vertical pupils reflecting her image. “Human technology is killing Kunlun Realm. And you’re the only one who can restore it.”

Draw a mountain, and it comes alive. Draw water, and it flows. Draw a beast, and it awakens. Her brush is the needle and thread that can mend the spiritual ley lines.

But she isn’t the only one after this power. A multinational tech conglomerate tracks her with drones, uses AI to decipher Kunlun Realm’s frequencies, and sends mechanized humans to corner her. They don’t want the book. They want the “power of eternal life” hidden deep within Kunlun Realm.

Lin Qing must shuttle between her studies in the real world and the spiritual ley lines. She has to pass her exams at art academy while protecting two worlds.

To see a mountain as a mountain, then not as a mountain, then once again as a mountain. This is a story about a paintbrush fighting cybertechnology, and about an insecure girl growing into the guardian of two worlds.
