Chen Yuan, an Ordinary Man

On the Tianxuan Continent, martial arts reign supreme. All mortals who cultivate borrow their techniques from the ancient immortals and gods: Nuwa’s power of creation, Xuanyuan’s sword intent, and Chiyou’s battle blood. For tens of thousands of years, no one has ever forged their own path.

Chen Yuan was born with all sixteen meridians blocked. Branded a once-in-a-millennium failure, he spent eleven years shoveling manure in the spirit-beast garden of the Qingyun Sect. Then, one day, he blocked the full-force strike of an inner-sect disciple, and an ancient power dormant within him quietly awakened.

The Chaos Dao Body: the primordial power from before the world was formed, a forbidden constitution that had vanished in the age of myth.

“Did you borrow your cultivation technique from Heaven, or from yourself?”

From dust to stars, from failure to supreme ruler. When the horn heralding the return of the gods resounds across the world, one mortal rises to his feet.

The Heavenly Dao lends nothing. Chaos is born of itself.
