Lin Ji (who appears to be a low-level scavenger, but is actually a monster with the gift of "empathy for all things"), the "Night Watch" organization that maintains order on the surface, is hunting all uncontrollable superpowers. In order to survive, Lin Ji must devour forbidden objects and become stronger while pretending to be an ordinary person. At the beginning, the protagonist is dealing with the corpse of a recently deceased S-class wanted criminal, but he hears the "last words" left by the corpse, and thus learns a secret that can overturn the world.
