Synopsis

"Journey to the North", also known as "The Biography of Emperor Zhenwu", is a classic chapter of "Journey to the North", one of the four famous works of the Ming Dynasty. The story begins with the legendary journey of the Jade Emperor, who was moved by greed and was reincarnated as a soul. After many lives of reincarnation and hard training, he finally became the master of Zhenwu. He gave up his wealth and power, and went to Wudang Mountain to practice for forty years. He killed demons and subdued heavenly generals, and transformed from a mortal prince into a demon-slaying heavenly king. The book collects the battles between gods and demons such as Generals Turtle and Snake, Zhao Gongming, Guan Yu, Hua Guang, etc. The plot has ups and downs, including the passion of cultivating immortals and overcoming calamities, and the thrill of subduing demons.
