[A dazzling, haughty beauty who looks down on the world v. an obsessive, volatile little menace]

A secretly passionate man v. a spoiled little troublemaker

Content warning: This story has no outline, no chapters stockpiled, and no moral compass. I make no promises about where the plot will go, and there are plenty of potential triggers. I’ll write whatever I feel like.

The peacock is beautiful and haughty, prickly, gorgeous, flamboyant, and has pride etched into her bones.

The Taotie is an ancient ferocious beast, greedy for food and violence, domineering, and consumed by possessiveness.

The peacock is sharp-edged and never willing to bow her head. The Taotie craves the one-of-a-kind beauty in this world and wants to lock the peacock in his gaze, keeping all her displays of splendor and that unbending pride for himself alone.

A ferocious beast sets its sights on a peerlessly beautiful peacock.

The bird refuses to be tamed, yet somehow crashes into the beast’s darkness.

They push and pull, confront and restrain each other, neither willing to give an inch first.

Small-town story, two strong leads. At first, neither can stand the other, and they’ve both bullied each other before.
