Great Qin: A Four-Year-Old Lucky Star Who Builds Mechanical Beasts by Hand

[Great Qin + transmigration + adorable child + doted on by the Mohists + mechanical engineering + First Emperor + feel-good story]

When he wakes, Wei Yuan, a mechanical engineering PhD, has transmigrated into a four-year-old homeless orphan amid the chaos of Great Qin.

From the start, he's so hungry he chews tree bark, chased by wild dogs and nearly left a pile of bones in the wilderness.

While other children cry for their mothers, he squats on the ground, drawing blueprints with a twig.

One bamboo tube, three copper leaves, and a piece of hemp rope: this four-year-old makes an automatic trap with his bare hands, leaving passing Mohist disciples utterly dumbfounded!

From then on, this grubby little boy becomes the darling of the entire Mohist school.

There's a water shortage? Brother Yuan casually puts something together, and an automatic water-lifting machine springs up from the ground!

The siege engine is broken? Brother Yuan tilts his head and gives it a couple of taps. The repeating crossbow is back in action, and upgraded too!

Someone bullies the Mohists? Brother Yuan blinks and brings out a walking wooden mechanical beast!

One day, the First Emperor Ying Zheng visits the Mohist school in person. There he sees a tiny child perched atop a nine-zhang-tall mechanical bird, looking down at him.

Ying Zheng: “…I want this child.”

The Mohist leader hugs little Yuan tight and won't budge. “Your Majesty, a gentleman doesn't take what someone else cherishes!”

Only then does the court realize that this little boy, whom the Mohists spoil rotten, holds in his hands the power to reshape the world!
