Concealing Beauty, Entering the Game

Mo Li spent years plotting. Her mother had risen from being her father's mistress, then joined forces with others to kill him. Mo Li endured and played the obedient daughter for her father's sake, hiding among his enemies for eight years. The moment her revenge was complete, the blood curse erupted. Exhausted in body and spirit, she fell into a deep sleep that lasted three years.

Jun Ye, who kept vigil at her bedside, was worn down until he was gaunt. His mind had split into three personalities: the primary personality was obsessive and deranged, and sacrificed half his life to save Mo Li, nearly dying for love; Long Ge was sharp-tongued and stubborn, silently eliminating every danger; Fan Shang was gentle and attentive, brewing medicine for her every day for three years to nurse her failing body.

After Mo Li awoke, she refused his proposal. She only wanted to honor her father's last wish by traveling alone and seeking freedom. The three personalities took turns appearing, sometimes insisting she stay, sometimes bluntly telling her how much they had sacrificed, and sometimes meekly giving in to her.

Mo Li was burdened with schemes and sins, and had never wanted to lose herself in love. After avenging her great wrong, she wanted to leave with nothing holding her back, but his three all-consuming loves had her trapped. She was caught between staying and going.
