After the Breakup, My Ex Keeps Pretending to Run Into Me

[Regretful Chase | Past and Present Lives | Fated Namesakes | Devoted Dog-Person Wingman] He dreamed of an entire lifetime. She forgot everything. The leads are sweet, so stick with it. You won’t regret it. Hanyan was unconscious for a year and two months, repeatedly dreaming the same dream. In the dream, he was a narcotics officer and she was a doctor with Doctors Without Borders. They were lovers. When his identity was exposed, he died in the line of duty. On a stormy night, she found his body alone and brought him back across the border. In the end, she and his narcotics detection dog both died beside his grave. Then he woke, and she woke. When he awoke, his assistant, sweating profusely, told him that while he was unconscious, his family had arranged a marriage to bring him good luck. He was married. Without a word, he had his assistant draw up a divorce agreement and end the marriage. The woman promptly signed it and mailed it back. He thought he would remember only the woman from his dream from then on. He had no idea that she would run right into his arms at an intersection. Nanzhi couldn’t tell if she had accidentally hurt the man she bumped into. Why was he looking at her with red-rimmed eyes and asking her three times, “Who are you?” A phone call was all it took for him to learn that the woman with the same face as the one in his dream was the very contract wife whose marriage he’d dissolved as soon as he woke up. From that moment on, Hanyan decided he had personally pushed away the person he had searched for across two lifetimes, and he would get her back even if he had to crawl on his knees. The first few chapters explain the bond between them, so there’s little sweetness at first. Later, it gets very sweet.
