[Falsely demure, down-on-her-luck heiress × lovesick, loyal young master; both leads are sexually inexperienced; happy ending]
After transmigrating into a book, Shen Mingshu becomes the evil girlfriend of the capital’s young master, and not even the real one.
In the original story, after the Shen family goes bankrupt, her father runs off with his mistress and all their money. While fleeing debt collectors, she collides with Xie Yanzhou, the capital’s young master. Afraid of going to jail, she pretends to be his girlfriend, but treats him like a dog.
She even tricks him into bringing her to the capital, where she accepts his care without a hint of guilt.
When Xie Yanzhou’s identity is revealed and he is taken back into the Xie family, she, a disposable side character, refuses to leave quietly. She keeps making trouble and repeatedly tests the limits of Xie Yanzhou’s patience.
Out of consideration for their past, Xie Yanzhou tries to pay her to leave the capital. But Shen Mingshu refuses to give up and ends up bringing about her own death.
When she opens her eyes, she has transmigrated into the book at the point when the year’s lies have yet to be exposed.
To survive, Shen Mingshu has no choice but to go along with it and keep deceiving Xie Yanzhou, planning to take the money and run once he is welcomed back into the family.
But who could have guessed that once she got the money, she wouldn’t be able to shake him off?
Shen Mingshu thinks her plan is flawless, until Xie Yanzhou corners her in the airport lounge. “Miss, didn’t you say I’d be your dog for life? When an owner abandons a puppy, that’s called pet abandonment.”
I was attracted by the cover. It's well written and broad. I recommend everyone to read it.
