At thirty-one, office worker Lin Yike is crushed by the pressure of work and her family's constant urging to marry. Night after night, she lies awake, exhausted in body and mind.
Hoping for a brief escape from reality, she sets off on a trip to Xinjiang that has been a year in the making, heading for its vast mountains and open landscapes to heal.
On the journey, she meets a kindred spirit and encounters a tender romance. The mountain breeze eases the weariness in her heart.
She thinks it will be only a brief meeting, after which they will each return to the crowds.
Long afterward, a phone call breaks the silence.
"Lin Yike, you said that when I came to your turf, you'd treat me. Does that offer still stand?"
She smiles and answers softly: Of course it does.
