Everyone knows that deep in the martial world lies a secretive assassin organization called the Window That Peers into Heaven, hidden amid an age of chaos.
It holds the sharpest blades in the world, and the softest hearts.
Its leader, Zhou Xingluo, and ten stewards guard a place of refuge, struggling to survive as they drift through a world of bloodshed.
They once believed that violence and vengeance were all there was to life.
Until a spy was exposed, a poisonous scorpion struck, and an old case was unveiled
Only then did they realize that this martial world was merely a fragmentary illusion cast down from the divine realm.
The rise and fall of mortals is all part of the gods' game.
The blades they once held in their hands would have to face foes far beyond the martial world.
The Window That Peers into Heaven looks not upon vendettas in the martial world, but upon the defiant destiny above the nine heavens, and perhaps the seemingly unreachable path to godhood.
