There is a legend about the old bell tower in Nancheng No. 1 Middle School: if you stand in the shadow under the bell tower and make a wish when the school bell rings the seventh time, your wish will come true. But no one knows that this legend is true - but the way it is realized is often different from what is imagined.
Lin Yuan is a patient with "time obsessive-compulsive disorder". She had to be on time, she had to stick to a plan, she had to write everything down on sticky notes and sort them by color. As the first class monitor in her grade, her life was like a precision-operating instrument, until one morning, she picked up a strange boy's watch in the shadow of the clock tower - the dial stopped at 7:07, and the hands never moved.
The owner of the watch is Lu Chi, a "problem student" who has been reported to the whole school. He always appears near the bell tower during school hours and always disappears in a corner when the seventh bell rings. Some say he is waiting for someone, some say he is running away from something. Lin Yu'an wanted to give the watch to the teacher, but he found a line of engraved words on the inside of the watch cover: "To An An, I hope you never have to know the price of the seventh bell."
That's her nickname. But she had never known anyone named Lu Chi.
As the two were forced to form a "behavior modification mutual aid group", Lin Yu'an gradually discovered that Lu Chi's skipping classes, fighting, and silence all pointed to the same secret - he was experiencing the same day over and over again. And the end of each cycle is the dusk when the bell tower collapses. What's even more frightening is that Lin Yu'an found that handwriting that she had never written began to appear on her sticky notes. Those handwritings reminded her: Don't believe Lu Chi, he is using you; they also begged her: Help him, only you can make him stop.
