(Parallel world. Please don't compare it to reality.) The beginning is a little slow, but the pace picks up later.
Three years ago, Shen Bai wrote "The One Who Stayed Behind," crediting both lyrics and music to "Old Road." He thought the song, like the old memories, would stay buried at the bottom of a box forever.
Until one night, backstage at a concert, he heard a girl singing it a cappella.
Her voice was like a cool, gentle breeze blowing out of an old alley.
Shen Bai stood outside the door and listened quietly to the end.
Later, he signed her to his company, gave her the song to sing, and made a film about Old Road. Everyone was digging around to find out who "Old Road" was..
She said, "Shen Bai, I want to stay by your side forever and ever."
He said, "Don't lust after my body."
Blushing, she scolded him for being shameless.
But that night, he took her hand and brought her home.
Everyone says Lin Muyao is the ideal woman.
Only Shen Bai knows that she is the love of his life.
From the old road to a new one, from one person to two. He kept it hidden for ten years, and she sang for half a year. In the end, he gave himself to her, too.
--At the end of the old road, someone has finally lit the lamp for him.
