(SeaKe) (dual heroines) (This might be my first full-length novel) (I don't know how to write this, so I'm just following the ideas in my outline. How it turns out is up to me. If it's not your thing, please don't read.)
On the night of the full moon, the neighbor brought over a baby girl with icy blue eyes. The baby's tiny hand touched Haiseyin's finger, and she wrapped her hand around it.
From chasing dragonflies along the field ridges to picking wild berries on the mountain behind the village, from the afternoon when a grass ring slipped onto her ring finger to the words that tumbled out beside a river full of fireflies, “I'm happy every day because you're here,” they grew up in an ordinary village, filling each other's childhood with the simplest things.
Until monsters slaughtered the village. Of more than a hundred people, only twelve survived, and neither girl's elders were among them. The two moved into a forest ranger's cabin, going from childhood friends to each other's only family.
At the academy, the whole school shipped them, but Kelu Dela stubbornly denied it. When jealous, she turned the back of her head toward Haiseyin all day. After being kissed, she blushed to the tips of her ears, then added, “I was just testing something.” At seventeen, she kissed her beneath a great tree. At eighteen, she founded a guild. At twenty-four, she slew the demon king who had destroyed their village.
After the war, she said she wanted to see the sea. Haiseyin slung her zither and sword over her back, took her hand, and opened the map of the world with her. They were bound by no destiny. They had simply chosen each other willingly, and never let go.
