Just as she was about to be eaten by one of them, an incredibly badass older woman appeared out of nowhere and saved her.
In every moment when Shi Yubai was at her most miserable, terrified, and ready to give up, Shi Yumu stood in front of her.
Hiding behind Shi Yumu, she watched her carve a bloody path through the monsters for Shi Yubai. She watched the wind toss her short hair and saw her occasionally turn back to smile at her.
Then Shi Yubai realized that what she felt for her was no longer as simple as “dependence.”
Shi Yubai had a crush on her.
She hadn't told anyone, including Shi Yumu.
Until, in the end, Shi Yumu summoned all her strength and kissed her of her own accord...
