In the near-future cyberpunk world, Lin Su, grieving the loss of her beloved, brings a digital backup of Zhao Qishan's consciousness and boards the cruise ship Tide Song with her friend Yuehan to meet by the sea. What was meant to be a journey of healing unexpectedly plunges them into an endless three-day loop.
At midnight, everything on the ship automatically resets, and the passengers' memories are gently washed away. Most are assimilated and “put back in place” by the alien consciousness “It” lurking deep within the ship, becoming fuel for the loop. Only Lin Su, driven by a deep-seated obsession, retains her memories through each cycle. Over thirty-three loops, she uncovers the truth: the ship itself is a living, alien entity that feeds on human obsessions and memories.
Through old route archives and the fading echoes of a scratched-up robot vacuum, she uncovers a buried past: Zhao Qishan, under the codename “Zhou,” once died saving her in a shipwreck. In another timeline, she had gone back to save him. The fragments of consciousness formed from their two death records have been silently protecting her aboard the ship all along.
To awaken Yuehan, whose memories are fading, and find Zhang Yunshan, who has already been put back in place, and Liu Suyi, who has not, Lin Su decides to strike first. She will tear open the walls of the loop and lead everyone to break free from this ghost ship that devours human obsessions.
All the fine preparations in front are all gathered up, and the stamina is very strong. There is no bloody love. The core is obsession, bondage and reconciliation. There is always a gentle undertone in the depression. It is slow but the more you read, the more you get.
