The Emperor's Daily Life of Doting on His Wife

The aloof and imposing Emperor Qianlong is a stern ruler in court, but the moment he steps away, he turns into a clingy, jealous husband who dotes on his wife. Dismissed. Don't stare at my wife when there's nothing to do. She's young, but she wouldn't hit anyone. Everyone in the imperial harem expected to live in constant fear, but ever since the mischievous young Noble Consort entered the palace, the whole place has gone completely off the rails. The emperor skips court just to spend time with his wife. Her meals, drinks, sleep, and fun come first. While everyone else follows strict rules and watches every step, his little wife does as she pleases, laughing and playing to her heart's content. He's an expert at getting jealous and sulking, and endlessly indulges her every whim. There's no competition for favor in the harem; everyone in the palace knows the emperor plays favorites. What good is ruling over a vast empire? All my love and favoritism are reserved for my darling wife. Every day, I find new ways to spoil her, sweetening the whole Forbidden City!
