When Wen Wan was three, a little boy moved in next door.
That day, she wore only one slipper and hid behind the door, clutching a rabbit with one ear missing. The hallway smelled of cardboard boxes, and the concrete floor was still wet. Her rabbit got a little dusty. Shen Ci didn't laugh at her. He crouched down and spent ages wiping it clean with a wet tissue, then gave her his strawberry candy.
That was the day Wen Wan started following him everywhere.
After kindergarten, she waited for him with her water bottle. When she wrote a word wrong in elementary school, she turned around to borrow his eraser. When her uniform sleeve came unstitched in middle school, he went with her to the little shop outside the school gate to have it mended. After evening study sessions in high school, he bought her warm milk tea, always loosening the lid a little first.
Shen Ci didn't say much and wasn't good at sweet talk. But when Wen Wan was afraid of the dark, he left a light on. When she had a fever and couldn't swallow her medicine, he drew a sun on a piece of paper for her. When she said she was fine, he set her water on her right-hand side.
And so they grew up, little by little.
From strawberry candy in the hallway to the white dress in their graduation photo; from the little home outside the south gate to the pair of toothbrush cups after their wedding. Later, little Nianwan joined the family. There was another small bowl at the table, a tiny pair of shoes by the door, and one notebook after another filled with memories.
It took Wen Wan many years to realize that Shen Ci's love for her had never changed. It had simply gone from candy wrappers to hot porridge, umbrellas, chestnuts, and the hand he reached out to her every time they crossed the street.
The rhythm of this book is well controlled, and the learning line and emotional balance are well balanced. It doesn't seem tiring at all.
This daily routine is so well written. Small things like sewing cuffs to cross the road and extending hands are the most touching. The sugar in ordinary life is the sweetest.
I really like reading this sweet article, this is what love looks like
My aunt couldn't stop laughing when she saw it. This detail is so poignant. This is the kind of nurturing love I want.
The author updates quickly. I want to read it. Every time there is an update, I can't wait to read it. I can't wait at all.
From a little strawberry candy to a family of three, the tenderness of childhood sweethearts is healing and easy to laugh at!!!
From a slipper, a glass of milk, to the current wedding dress, the two of them have witnessed it together. I love reading this kind of article.
The male and female protagonists have been childhood sweethearts since childhood. They are so warm and beautiful.
It's high in sugar throughout, sweet but not greasy. It's the most beautiful thing I imagine love to be like 😄😄😄
Good! The story is fascinating, the writing is fresh and smooth, five stars!
