[Rule-based horror + hard-boiled mind games + no System, just brains + extreme twists + an outstanding ensemble cast]
The whole world goes dark. Horror descends, and death is tied to reality.
The beginner instance, “Rules for the Dormitory at Night,” is released:
[1. After ten p.m., leaving the dormitory is strictly forbidden.]
…
[4. If you hear someone calling for help in the hallway, go to the first-floor dorm supervisor’s office and report it immediately.]
While other players argue over which of two conflicting rules to follow, some even smugly trying to use “human jurisprudence” to interpret the exemptions…
Zhou Du, a former high-risk actuary, gives a cold laugh and tears up the sheet of rules that seems to offer a way out.
“Do you think the dorm supervisor on the first floor can’t hear someone calling for help? Rule Four isn’t an exemption. It’s a ‘legal meat grinder’ designed specifically for clever people like you.”
“Remember, in this world, the rules aren’t survival guides. They’re bait from the System!”
Standing amid the wreckage, Zhou Du looks up at the blood-red words flickering across the ceiling, his gaze full of mockery.
“There’s no such thing as an unknowable god.”
“If the rules are fake, then I’ll make a real one: I am your reaper.”
