I Was Just Getting By in a Crummy Little Sect, Then I Rose to the Top of the Immortal Realm

After transmigrating to a world of immortal cultivation, Jiang Che just wants to lie flat and coast through life at the dilapidated Qingyun Sect, which has only five people left. While others pursue ascension and eternal life, he just wants to know whether the bamboo shoots on the back mountain are tender enough.

Then one day, he digs up a golden Edict of Heaven with his hoe.

The System binds to him and forcibly issues a mission: recruit ten disciples within three months, or his soul will be scattered. Jiang Che looks at the sect's account, which has only three low-grade spirit stones left, and has no choice but to grit his teeth and head down the mountain to swindle and trick people into joining. As it turns out, the female disciple he recruits is an undercover agent for the demonic path, the seemingly sweet junior sister has the true spirit of a phoenix sealed inside her, and even the big, dim-witted senior brother who can't beat an outer disciple is actually an ancient Sky-Mending Stone transformed into human form.
