This is a story about a good-for-nothing who gets picked up and cleaned off, only for everyone to discover that she’s actually a nuclear bomb.
The heroine, Laika, is a low-ranking half-blood in the wolf pack. She can’t take wolf form, and her inner wolf is a transparent panel that can only send emoji-filled comments. Her daily job is peeling potatoes. The Wolf King, Regnas, is a cold, fastidious CEO type. At a mate-selection ball, the goddess chooses Laika for him: a useless girl covered in grease, with a chicken leg in her hand. Naturally, he refuses.
But soon he discovers that the slightest touch from her can heal even a fatal wound. She is the only healer in three hundred years. Though the wolf form she finally manages to produce, face burning with embarrassment, is just a hedgehog, its quills can deflect his sword. And Fenrir, the ancient ferocious beast sealed inside her, spends every day in her mind, gushing over the Wolf King’s physique through a barrage of comments.
When curses and conspiracies sweep through the wolf pack, the hedgehog who can only curl into a ball opens one silver eye and one black eye: healing in one hand, destruction in the other. The Wolf King keeps getting proven wrong, while the hedgehog girl keeps turning everything he knows on its head. A silly, sweet-and-angsty romance with a guaranteed happy ending.
