Since ancient times, three thousand avenues have been running parallelly in the world - cause and effect rotate, time and space control the universe, and life and death govern the rise and fall. The dream path is formless, nameless, and formless, but it is the source of all dharma: all practice begins with a thought, and all thoughts are born from nothingness. Dreams are the bridge between nothingness and existence.
The story begins in a mountain village called Qili Temple in Xiangning County, Shanxi Province. Yang Yun, the son of a miner, witnessed his sister Yang Qian drowning in a black ditch when he was five years old. On the forty-ninth night after the burial, my sister came from a dream. She stood under the date tree in the old house, wearing the blue shirt, and said: "I am no longer in the water, I am here." After waking up from the dream, Yang Yun carved the first question of his life on the bamboo slips -
"Where is she?"
These three words are the starting point of his entire practice. From an orphan in a mountain village to the founder of the sect of Dream Xiang Taoism, Yang Yun used his own experience to refine the fragments of dreams into a complete practice step by step. The six mantras of "The Great Song of Dreams" - stop dreams, keep dreams, create dreams, trace dreams, dream world, dream images - are born from situation to situation and remembered as they are understood. This is not an ancient scripture or a revelation, but a record written by a person with his life's blood and tears.
