Cyril reckons he’s probably had it worse than any other transmigrator. Others become wizarding aristocrats; he became the Dark Lord’s failed experiment. A vampire baby with silver hair and violet eyes, skin and bones, who starts smoking in sunlight. Even Beauxbatons rejected his application.
His adoptive parents are Aurors, and his older sister is a sharp-tongued French beauty. The whole family is afraid he’ll lose control and bite someone one day. After all, he really did do that as a child.
He spent twelve years cooped up in the study, teaching himself magic, living like a vampire version of a socially anxious night owl.
Then an owl landed on his windowsill.

Cyril: Wait, is it really okay for a Horcrux like me to go to Hogwarts?
