Great Song: You Were Told to Defend the Realm, but You Set Sail on the Great Voyage

Reborn as Zhao Chen, the Jingkang Crown Prince, he watches as Bianjing is about to fall and Emperors Huizong and Qinzong are about to be hauled away.

Zhao Chen strikes back, forces the emperor to abdicate, takes the throne, and awakens the [Imperial Industry System]!

The Jin have their iron-clad cavalry? No problem. With my blast furnaces and assembly lines, I’ve increased the production of long sabers a hundredfold. Every soldier gets one!

The Jin have their mounted archers? No problem. My minefields, flintlock guns, and explosive shells will make sure none of you return!

The court is broke? I’ll establish a Ministry of Commerce, monopolize salt, iron, tea, and liquor, levy property taxes, and confiscate the estates of a few corrupt officials. The imperial treasury will overflow, richer than the Jin’s!

We’re short on talent? I’ll open schools of industry and political academies, where even the children of poor families can study! Every official must be professionally certified!

Zong Ze: “Your Majesty, all I wanted was to hold Bianjing! How did you cripple the Jin?”

Yue Fei: “Your Majesty, I only wanted to reclaim Yan and Yun. How have you already sent a fleet to explore the New World?”

The Jin emperor: “He’s insane! Zhao Chen has gone mad! We’re still charging each other with cavalry, and he’s already starting an Industrial Revolution! How are we supposed to fight this war?”

When a vast steam-powered fleet appears in Edo Bay, Japan, the whole world is stunned! Wasn’t this supposed to be the Humiliation of Jingkang? How did it become an empire on which the sun never sets!
