A few warnings: This is a group-pampering story with a slow pace and romance. The writing is at an elementary-school level. It's not a power fantasy, and there are plenty of painful moments and tearjerkers. It's warmhearted, with plenty of friendship, and the pirates are the absolute enemy.
The story follows three plotlines, all about elves: one main heroine and two supporting heroines, all coming-of-age stories. Modisi is the strongest early on, while Datina is the strongest later.
Synopsis:
Pirates run rampant, shattering the peace of the planet Vandik and capturing the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan.
The dual-element Datina, Tatiya, and Modisi are all reduced to experimental subjects.
Datina, deemed a failure, doesn't survive and regresses to having only one tail.
When she wakes, she barely has time to take in what's happening before the elders, along with the humanoid Tatiya and Modisi, rescue her using fire, ice, and all kinds of elemental abilities.
She doesn't know whether Tatiya and the others escaped. Alone, she gets lost in the universe and is injured aboard an abandoned spaceship.
Fortunately, she comes across Seer, and Sai Xiaoxi and the others come to her rescue.
Her fear of robots leaves her unable to speak. She becomes unusually withdrawn and refuses to communicate with anyone.
Later, after spending time with them and surviving life-and-death adventures, Datina comes to think of them as her companions.
She also regains her memories and learns that she has somehow ended up in the Seer animated series.
Unfortunately, she has no golden finger and is still the weakest member of the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan.
But she refuses to accept her fate. If the story's plot has taken so many people from her, she'll find a way to break free of its dictates.
Theme: This isn't a legend about “being the strongest,” but a long journey of walking together and protecting what matters.
