The Wind Rises, the Yi River Runs Cold

This is a slow-paced, down-to-earth xianxia novel. It avoids lightning-fast leveling and mindless power-fantasy plots.

The setup takes its time, focusing on the characters’ growth, the rustic rhythms of life, human relationships, and gradual adventures in hidden realms.

Readers, please feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions as you go: what kinds of plot developments you enjoy, what scenes you’d like to see, where the pacing drags, or what you don’t like. Speak your mind. I’ll read and consider every comment, and make reasonable adjustments to the story as it continues.
