The Relic Listener: National Treasures Weep, and I Bring Them Home

[Artifacts have memories + hand them over to the state + recover lost national treasures + an information war]

I became the only person in the world who can hear artifacts speak.

At the Great E Museum, a three-color arhat statue from the Liao dynasty snarled at me through the glass: “Take me home.” It wasn’t a hallucination. The voice poured straight into my mind, as real as could be.

From that day on, every national treasure lost overseas began searching for me.

My name is Lin Zhimo. I used to be an ordinary international student in Wudu.

After that day, my world split in two: one half was the world of ordinary people, while the other was filled with the cacophony of every artifact in the Huaxia Gallery speaking at once.

Authentic artifacts can speak. Fakes are mute.

Every national treasure stranded abroad is waiting for someone who can understand it and take it home.
