Yan Nanxing is a street novelist who barely makes a living by writing suspense novels with few readers. While revising a manuscript late one night, he unexpectedly got an old fountain pen with the words "Writing is True" engraved on the body of the pen. I casually wrote "There is someone outside the window", and there was a scream from downstairs - someone really fell to death. He thought it was a coincidence and wrote "the lights are on on the third floor opposite", and the abandoned building turned on as expected.
Yan Nan panicked and began to frantically test the rules: only what really happened could be written, no farewells could be written, and the written words could not be altered. His editor, readers, and even the aunt selling pancakes downstairs are all involved in this unending word game. To make matters worse, the master, the strict old writer who forced him to write five thousand words every day and never praised him, seemed to know the origin of this pen and was using a strange set of rules to force him to "take every word seriously."
When Yan Nanxing discovered that every word he wrote began to "correct" reality, suspense became the only way to survive. The chapters he writes are writing about him in turn.
