Qing Yuan was a good-for-nothing cultivator. Then she met Xuan Li, the strongest Demon Venerable, and began her path to lying flat as a cultivator. Whenever she ran into something she couldn’t handle, all she had to do was call on the Demon Venerable.
Unfortunately, the path to lying flat wasn’t exactly peaceful. People kept trying to tear them apart, until they were faced with an ending where they were certain to die.
And so, a little couch potato and a little sad sack were hunted down until they could only hide in a cave and cling to life. What a miserable pair.
Naturally, Xuan Li refused to let the little couch potato die with him. He took out his own heart and used the magic power he had left to tear open a rift in space. He told Qing Yuan to take his heart, cross ten thousand years of time, find his younger self, and give him the heart so they could change their deadly fate.
Qing Yuan fulfilled her mission and found Xuan Li from ten thousand years ago. Only then did she discover that he had lost far more than just his heart.
She lifted her little face and planted her hands on her hips, declaring boldly, “Don’t be afraid, A Li. I’ll help you take back everything you’ve lost, one thing at a time!”
And so Qing Yuan and the Demon Venerable Xuan Li became the neighborhood bullies!
