Heavenly Court Convenience Store: Sun Wukong Comes to Buy Spicy Strips

Chen Ergou inherits his grandmother's little shop.

His first customer is a monkey crouched in front of the shelves, munching on spicy strips.

Golden crown, chainmail armor, fiery golden eyes, and a mouth glistening with oil as he chews.

"These spicy strips taste even better than the peaches in the Peach Garden."

Before Chen Ergou can even react, heavenly soldiers and generals kneel in a mass outside the door:

"By order of the Jade Emperor, we welcome the True Lord of Spicy Strips back to his rightful place!"

Twelve thousand years have passed. The last person who could grab this packet of spicy strips with his bare hands without crying from the heat was called the Great Sage, Equal to Heaven.

Jade Emperor: Come be a deity. We offer five kinds of insurance and a housing fund, a wife included, plus a VIP annual pass to the Peach Garden.

Chen Ergou: ...Can I ask first if Huabei works in Heaven?
