Resources on Blue Star are running out, and human civilization is on the brink of collapse.
A live broadcast of a global survival challenge in the wilderness suddenly begins. Each country randomly selects fifty participants, who are collectively transported to another world.
When Lin Shen wakes up, he discovers that he and more than fifty of his classmates have transmigrated together. They have all been dropped onto the back of a giant whale assigned to their country.
The Dragon Kingdom isn’t the only one. Every country in the world has its own enormous whale. The whales roam across the vast ocean, sometimes passing lonely, deserted islands along the way.
The whales’ broad backs are covered in dense primeval forests, the contestants’ only places to survive. The global livestream begins at the same time, and every country’s citizens are glued to their screens,
watching anxiously as their contestants fight for their lives. Food and fresh water must all be found on-site, while danger lurks all around.
Strange, vicious giant birds circle overhead, while flying fish with razor-sharp wings occasionally leap from the sea, ready to attack the people on the whales’ backs. Contestants from other countries struggle to survive, with casualties mounting.
Only Lin Shen awakens a special ability that lets him communicate with the colossal whale beneath him.
He can use the whale’s senses to anticipate danger, follow its route to approach deserted islands and search for supplies, and rely on its strength to evade monstrous beasts in the sea and sky.
Amid the countless dangers of this otherworldly ocean, Lin Shen must lead his classmates and rely on the whale’s strength to fight for survival in this deadly contest between nations.
