Synopsis
Everyone in the capital knew that after losing both his parents, Xiao Zhaozhuo became even more arrogant and domineering. He lived like a sword without a scabbard: whoever touched him bled.
That is, until he cornered the second young master of the Xie family, who had just returned from out of town, right next door to his own home.
Xie Xingyao had a face that begged to be bullied. He smiled innocently, yet could make anyone furious with a single sentence. The first time they met, Xiao Zhaozhuo coaxed him into calling him "big brother" several times, then promptly charged forty-seven taels of wine to Xie Xingyao's account.
Later, Xie Xingyao was chased by dogs, had a turtle drawn on his face, and was nearly assassinated. Xiao Zhaozhuo was involved in every last one of those incidents.
The whole capital pitied the second young master Xie for having a troublemaking menace like him to deal with.
But only Xiao Zhaozhuo knew the truth. An old Taoist had once told his fortune, saying his life was bound to another person, someone who was neither in Tianqian City nor on any road he had ever traveled. Hearing this, he tore up ten fortune slips in a row, until that young man leaped from a covered boat and landed right before his eyes.
Everyone thought Xiao Zhaozhuo and Xie Xingyao were mortal enemies.
But when Xie Xingyao took an arrow for him and fell into a pool of blood, Xiao Zhaozhuo carried him into a clinic. His voice was so hoarse it was almost unrecognizable. "You dare die on me, and I'll throw every one of your friends into the moat."
As Xiao Zhaozhuo forced medicine down his throat, Xie Xingyao mumbled groggily, "Xiao Zhaozhuo, you bastard!"
"Yeah, I'm a bastard."
"Your fate is bound to one person, neither gold nor jade, neither power nor status. Meet them, and you live. Lose them, and you die."
Arrogant, unrestrained young noble x play the pig to eat the tiger; chaotic antics early on, sweetness hidden amid the angst later
The author's writing style is very interesting. I think it's very good. I hope you can light it up 😘
