Come On, Man! You Call That a Childhood Sweetheart?

[Childhood friends + one heroine + everyday romance + daily life]

The summer after the college entrance exams.

Bai Meng, the tsundere childhood friend who's been by Ye Qing's side for over a decade, moves into his home.

He thought it would be another carefree vacation spent bickering and doing whatever they pleased.

As usual, they tease and argue with each other without holding back, getting along openly and casually.

Until one day at a barbecue restaurant, an employee mistakes them for a couple and gives them a pair of cat keychains.

Then they pick up some grilled rice cakes from a street stall and bring home a frail orange cat, which they name Niangao.

Living under the same roof, things quietly begin to feel different.

Ye Qing has always been laid-back and quick with a joke, but he finds himself paying special attention to her without even realizing it.

Bai Meng has always been proud and awkward, yet for some reason she blushes and gets flustered easily.

People around them keep teasing them and assuming they're a couple, but they both insist in unison that they're just good buddies.

But deep down, they both know

that their old days of carefree, openhearted innocence

have come to a complete end this summer.
