The Underworld Opened a Convenience Store in the Human World

Unemployed young man Jiang Lin lands a job at a 24-hour convenience store, thinking he’ll just be pulling all-nighters to stock shelves. Little does he know, every employee is a top-tier star from the underworld. Judge Uncle Cui is busy fixing his cracked-screen iPad and on the verge of a breakdown because he can’t solve a high school calculus problem. Auntie Meng, who cooks the oden, is hard at work developing a “fresh coconut” version of Granny Meng’s Soup. Delivery rider Bai Xiaoxiao zips around on a balance scooter and insists on waiting for customers to finish their last ranked match before reaping their souls.

Here, reincarnation is decided by lottery, and merit is measured in likes. As the only mortal store manager, Jiang Lin faces a vengeful ghost intent on taking his life and simply pushes up his glasses with an elegant air. “Sorry, your death pose doesn’t meet the principles of aerodynamics. I suggest you die again.” Welcome to Lingxi Convenience Store. We sell everything except our conscience.
