A contract marriage, arranged to save her father's life, leads ordinary girl Wen Zhiyu into the life of Shen Jiheng, Jiangcheng's coldest and most dangerous man.
He is an untouchable titan of capital, restrained and taciturn, like an iceberg that never melts. Yet she brings the warmth of everyday life into his long-empty world.
From a bowl of hot midnight congee to a lamp he always leaves on for her, love quietly takes root between them in the unnoticed moments of daily life.
Everyone believes their marriage is just a transaction. Only Shen Jiheng knows the truth:
He has secretly started learning “how to love someone.”
But as the contract's expiration date approaches, they finally realize:
The first thing to lose control was never their marriage, but their hearts.
The book is beautiful and contains such delicate love. I personally don't like to read too many articles that describe emotions. I like dialogue-based articles and I don't have the patience to read on. This is my personal problem and has nothing to do with the book. It is still worth reading.
What I read is quite real. It is not the kind of novels I have read before where love comes after marriage. This one is quite different. If you want to try a new experience, you can give this book a try.
