During an ordinary night shift, Chen Yuanzhou, a twenty-eight-year-old staffer at the Bureau of Science and Technology, suddenly saw a translucent virtual panel appear before his eyes.
He discovered that he could transmigrate to another world.
The Emerald Wilds: an exotic land where plants and animals grew to enormous sizes, untapped mineral deposits lay hidden, and ancient ruins stood in silent desolation. There were no intelligent beings.
The System told him: this was only the first door. More worlds awaited unlocking, and deeper secrets lay beyond them.
But Chen Yuanzhou didn't choose to go it alone. His first thought was: the nation has to know about this.
From one person to a whole team, from one world to many. Portable storage, transporting people, building stable gateways: every step forward was made possible by the nation's strength. The rare mineral deposits of the Emerald Wilds, the dwarven civilization of Ashen Canyon, the magical mysteries of the Tidal Isles... Chen Yuanzhou wasn't exploring alone. A nation stood behind him.
This wasn't simply “cooperation.” He was an ordinary Chinese man, born and raised in China. The System's arrival had given him a way to serve his country.
As the truth about the ancient Skyfolk gradually came to light and threats beyond the gateways emerged, Chen Yuanzhou would have to make a choice.
But he always remembered one thing:
This isn't just my business. It's the nation's business.
And I am one of its people.
The narrative is eloquent, and it can be seen that the story is huge and exciting. But this must be the first time the teacher has written a novel. The writing style is very dry, there is no dialogue, and the characters are relatively flat. Everyone is dull and looks lifeless, haha. Overall, it is more like writing a paper in a straightforward manner, and I hope that the follow-up will get better and better.
