In his senior year of high school, Lu Cheng had a nightmare. He dreamed that he died, killed by a bizarre monster.
After that, his high school life was never ordinary again.
A strange countdown appeared before his eyes. After a mysterious incident, Lu Cheng discovered his deskmate's secret and was drawn into the mysterious real-world organization known as LX, or the Spirit Ruins.
A mysterious meteorite ball awakened in his consciousness, granting him a game-like character upgrade panel. He could also enter a world called the Otherworld through his dreams and grow stronger there.
As he explored further, Lu Cheng gradually discovered a connection between the Spirit Ruins in reality and the Otherworld in his dreams.
Everything pointed to the cataclysm that had once nearly destroyed the world.
And he was the answer that would bring it all to an end.
The Spirit Ruins are real, the Otherworld is unreal. The world has always been a blend of truth and illusion.
(The story takes place in a parallel world and leans a little toward everyday life. The writing is fairly amateurish.)
