In an old house on the verge of collapse in the ancient city of Tongguan, young historian Shen Yiwen discovered a batch of family letters from border guards in the Ming Dynasty. These yellowed pages not only record personal destiny, but also carry nostalgia for home and country, as if someone is using another way to annotate the mountains and rivers.
Following the guidance of the letter, Shen Yiwen embarked on a spiritual journey across time and space. From the Ziwu Valley to the banks of the canal, from the Yangguan Ancient Road to the ancient cities of the Western Regions, she discovered that people in every era have used their lives to write poems for this land, and these poems are waiting to be recited.
